Summerleaze Beach

Summerleaze Beach is a popular destination for surfers and families. Located 5 minutes walk from Bude town centre, the beach is flanked by the River Neet, which is commonly frequented by fishing boats, and backed by sand dunes. An impressive breakwater and a safe swimming tidal pool make this a particular favourite for families, and a full lifeguard service runs from 5th May until 30th September.

There is paid car parking right next to the beach, with public toilets, and disabled access onto the sand. Sand chair hire is also available from Summerleaze Beach Office, these are provided by Cornwall Mobility in partnership with Disability Cornwall and Isles of Scilly. Other facilities include beach hut hire, surf equipment hire, a beach shop, and a cafe/bistro, making this location well equipped to meet your sunny day needs.

Dogs are allowed all year round, however they are required to be leashed between the hours of 10am – 6pm from 21st May until 30th September.

All in all Summerleaze beach is safe, clean, and easy on the eye. It’s no wonder that this is Bude’s central hub of sand, surf and sun!
