The coastal historic town of Christchurch has an olde world charm. With picturesque rivers, award-winning beaches, nature reserves, heritage attractions, and a stunning natural harbour, it is a quaint family holiday destination.

The bustling town centre has a range of independent shops, high street stores, and regular markets to satisfy your retail needs. The historic Priory Church dates back to the 11th century, and is one the longest parish churches in the country. This coupled with the Christchurch Castle Ruins, which saw action during the English Civil War, give you plenty opportunity to discover more about the town’s impressive past.

The New Forest National Park is not far from the town, and has a plethora of trails, events and activities to enjoy. There are 6 beaches in the area to choose from too, each with their own character and set of facilities, so you can plan a day of sun-bathing, swimming, and building sandcastles.

The Exbury Gardens offer another delightful excursion, which has everything from world-famous displays of rhododendrons, azaleas and camellias, to riverside walks, the steam railway, tea rooms, play area and art exhibitions.

For food you can treat yourself to a gourmet meal from it’s wonderful array of fine restaurants, get a classic fish and chips takeaway taking advantage of the fresh seafood, or sit back at a cafe with an aromatic cup of coffee.
