Blue Anchor

Blue Anchor is a small seaside town in Somerset, on the North Coast. It is a quiet coastal location with a long sandy beach offering peaceful relaxation.

Popular amongst walkers and sea anglers, Blue anchor is a quaint retreat destination for those who just want to relax, admire the views, and maybe read a good book. A caravan and camping park sit right on the bay, affording fantastic coastal views and convenience.

The bay is surrounded by alabaster rocks and cliffs, which are of great geological interest. The West Somerset Steam Railway runs through the village and has a station there. Hopping on to the train and taking it to Minehead to enjoy all the attractions the town has to offer is a great way to spend the day.  Marvel at nearby Dunster Castle – sample the local parks, farms and falconry too.

For walkers, the Exmoor National Park is right on your doorstep, with thousands of acres of stunning open heathland, flora and fauna. Why not take a safari to see everything Exmoor has to offer; it’s history, wildlife, scenery, legends and more.

Though accommodation and places to eat are somewhat limited, from Blue Anchor you have excellent and easy access to nearby towns and villages, that can more than cater for your needs.
